My thoughts about Reformed Churches today

The problem when people are "looking at Churches" today, they are looking at the appearances such as success, healing, music and etc. My main problem with Churches today are teaching doctrines that are not biblical just to attract people with itching ears so they will be motivated to do something for themselves rather than sound spiritual docrine. God have a problem with those who practice such "intend" that He never indended.

As for membership growth, I can see why Reformed Churches are very slow in growing. Also, I noticed those who have been Christians for years in a non-reformed Churches are realizing what is going on and started looking into Reformed Churches as I did. Its not about popularity nor about spiritual pleasures but rather discipleship.

Christian faith is inward, not outward. It is of the spirit and not of the flesh. The kingdom of God is within you, Christ dwells in your heart, and "Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:27) is the burning core of the Christian faith. So Christianity, the true Christian faith, is inward in nature--we are to be inwardly Christians. This is one of the reason why I am into Reformed theology, people (so called Christians) are focusing on works and methods and Reformed says "NO, the Holy Spirit is our works. A spiritually dead person is without the Holy Spirit, therefore we do not have the "ability" to get saved on our own. We need the Holy Spirit to prick and quicken us to be alive." Faith comes to the believer as a gift from God. It is not something that individuals are capable of coming up on their own. Were faith a work of man's own doing, man would be in a position to take partial credit for his redemption. Faith comes as a result of the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit-He quickens our hearts to believe. Apart from the new birth, there can be no true faith.

Reformed belief is centered on God, based on God's Word, and committed to faith in Jesus Christ. The real question is, will a Christian be a true disciple? Becoming a disciple, following Jesus Christ requires personal cost, giving up your selfish "me" and become like Christ. Love is NOT conditional however discipleship is conditional. Jesus might have grieved over His Cost of Discipleship requirements, but He never ran after them to try to win them with rosy promises. Luke 14:27 And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:33 In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple. Spiritual liberty means the freedom to be all that we were designed to be, but this is not a freedom that is without restrictions or responsibilities. Grace is we live in the Spirit AND also walk in the Spirit. The Holy Spirit dwells in us with all the power and gifts of God, necessary to enable us to walk the noble, spiritual, Son-like life with God. With Grace, we can show mercy and help others (Heb. 4:13-16).

I have more but this is enough. I will post more in the Future
