Bad Theology on "Divine Healing"

If physical healing is guaranteed, then all Christians who are in Christ are healed before physical death. The Word of Faith doctrine is so confusing. Unbelief have to do rejection of the HolySpirit, not doctrine. Faith is a gift from God and I have great faith. Jesus Christ’s redemptive work on the cross provided the basis for my salvation and the foundation for me to pursue a life that reflects Christ. I believe that the truth of God’s Word have already set me FREE from the bondage of sin. (John 8:32). The promise, and God's Grace, is still ready and available for any and all to receive -- by faith -- and even if the condition of life contradict the promise, we are still called to proclaim -- by faith -- that we are healed. Divine healing will happen but God's time is not the same as our time. The comparison of time with God. A thousand years is like yesterday. It is like one day. One day is as a thousand years. God's perspective on time is not the same as ours. The Bible does not say one day is a thousand years to the Lord or a thousand years is one day. With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. In Hebrews 11:38-39 explains better: These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.

We must be weary of such doctrines that teaches bad theology regarding "guranteed healing". We all need to keep God's perspective on time because we need to appreciate why God is doing what He does and the way He does it. I have faith in God as who He is and His decisions. God always have a purpose. God always have a reason. God is not indifferent nor does He lack the ability to accomplish what He has promised. From human point of view, things may not happen when we think they should or on our timetable, but they will happen on God's timetable.

As A.W. Tozer explains: "That contract into which God has entered guarantees reconciliation. We are reconciled to God! God's gracious new will—His contract—guarantees pardon. We may be restored into the household of God by faith." 2 Corinthians 1:22 set His seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. 2 Corinthians 5:5 Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. 1 Timothy 4:8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

Ephesians 2:12-22 Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. This is spiritual healing. You are spiritually saved by Grace with the gift of faith when convicted by the Holy Spirit and repent for the separation from God and made peace with our Creator we were once was far away.

Of the two healings, which is more important and which is THE HEALING that God has promised? I believe in Divine physical healing according to God's decision, not ours.

In the Bible... there are evidences of the following:
1. Physically healed but still eternally dead. (Those who have been healed by Christ and Apostles have REFUSED to believe but still were healed).
2. Spiritually & Physically healed and will live eternally but died anyway and went back to dust.

The point for Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures is great news. Jesus purged our sins, He mediates grace to all who believe, is wonderful news for this sinful nature world. Our Messiah, Jesus Christ, who gave Himself as a ransom for all Christians who did not reject the conviction of the Holy Spirit. God's will is for our redemption, adoption and the obtaining of our eternal inheritance in the heavenly blessings (Ephesians 3:10,11). God's gifts are many; His best gift is one which is the gift of Himself. Above all gifts, God desires most to give Himself to His people so that we can have eternal life instead of eternal death. God's New Covenant is eternal because Christ is the mediator of the covenant, that we receive the promised eternal inheritance. That Covenant is that He has died as a ransom to set us free from the sins committed under the first Covenant. The Book of Hebrews explains that Jesus is the mediator, the executor, of The New Covenant (The New Testament). The word mediator comes from the verb "to mediate" which means a mediator is one who stands between two parties or two factions needing to be reconciled eternally. With that promise, as a Christian, I always thank God continually for our New Testament guarantees of spiritual life and freedom in Christ. The bond of the Covenant between God and US is ETERNAL that will never fail because it is God who has promised, and I have strong FAITH in His Character of His Eternal Promise. Christ through His death and resurrection, every legal hindrance has been met and satisfied. There is nothing that can keep me from assurance except my own faith. The only way to get in is to believe Him with my heart which is sealed by the Holy Spirit. Because of Christ, we are Christians.

The unsaved are spiritually blind (2 Cor. 4:4), spiritually dead (Eph. 2:1) and spiritually ignorant (Eph. 4:18). The mystery of the God cannot be known by human (spiritually dead) but all that Christians can know of God in this life is revealed in Jesus Christ (spiritually alive). Through the self-revelation of God and His Son, Jesus Christ in the Scriptures, with the help from the Holy Spirit, Christians who is spiritually alive gains everything and loses nothing.

Without the Holy Spirit... we are nothing, and very dead. James 2:26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. Romans 8:10-11 But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

Mark 2:9 Which is easier: to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up, take your mat and walk'? Luke 5:23 Which is easier: to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'? Although faith is not mandatory for healing, it is for salvation. We can't be saved without faith and with regard to salvation, we are touched and cleansed from SINS when we came to Christ in faith, only in terms of the disease of sin which is worse than the diseases. A spiritually dead person is without the Holy Spirit, therefore we do not have the "ability" to get saved on our own. The Holy Spirit to prick and quicken people to be alive spiritually.

But again... there are bad theologies will do anything to avoid the "truth". The true basic theology is that God does not guarantee physical healing for all believers, at least not in this life, all believers will eventually be healed of all physical aliments as well as spiritual aliments.

Healing is NOT the only commandment that God commanded. If you are "told to do it"... "it" means "one" while God have many commandments. Healing was just ONE. "Raise the dead" is the other. I wonder how many dead have been raised compared to how many have been healed? If God said "Raise the dead", why couldn't raising the dead happen as much as healing? People are focusing on "healing" more than other miracles that God have been providing. In I Cor 12:29-31, Paul addresses the gifts. “Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? But eagerly desire the greater gifts.” God uses your spiritual gifts by His Spirit as He wills. Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit produces power, love, a sound mind through you. Without Christ, you are nothing. Along with love and under the control of the Holy Spirit, the power of love and Holy Spirit flows through you since the only way the spiritual gifts are going to operate is love. Love is the key. God is love. He gave us two commandments. We are to love God and others. Paul explains in First Corinthians that Paul explained in his letters that the manifestations of the Spirit were given to everyone for the profit to all. Any selfish motives toward the gifts of God can destroy God's blessings' purposes and usefulness.

Jesus said in Matthew 28:18-20 "Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." We are to encourage all believers to: Worshiping & Praying (Romans (12:1-2) Love (1 Pet. 1:22) Edify (Eph. 4:16) Encourage (Heb. 10:24) Teach and Admonish (Col. 3:16) Bear Burdens (Gal. 6:2) Comfort (1 Thes. 4:18) Forgive (Eph. 4:32; Matt. 6:14-15) Work Together (Phil. 1:27) Discipline ( Matt. 18:15, 2 Cor. 2:5-11, Thes. 3:6-15, and Jude 22-23)

Jesus also said Matthew and Mark "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

Romans 15:1-7 We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.

Philippians 4:8-9 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Knowing God's Will and Accepting God's Will. There is confusion between the determined Will of God and our responsibility as a Christian. Do not forget to do good (Hebrews 13:16) to help the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed (Luke 14:13-14). God will be glorified who use their spiritual gift for "help others" and "works of service"(1Corinth. 12:28, Eph. 4:12).

Which is easier? Matthew 9:5 Which is easier: to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'? Mark 2:9 Which is easier: to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up, take your mat and walk'? Luke 5:23 Which is easier: to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'?

What did Jesus mean by those phrases?

According to your faith be it unto you" ? How much faith did those people have? Defining faith, at what level do we know how to measure faith? Did they have enough faith to be healed? Yes. Did they have enough faith to be saved? Yes. How does faith come to us? If they had enough faith to be saved, then salvation is what they received. We can't be saved without faith and with regard to salvation, we are touched and cleansed from SINS when we came to Christ in faith, only in terms of the disease of sin which is worse than the diseases.

Of course, we can go "on and on" like Energizer Batteries on this topic. There are many Christians have died without being healed and justification for that reasons are usually from "two reasons":
1. They were not really Christians
2. They were Christians but God chose not to heal them according to His will since He has a better plan in our lives.
