God's Power
God has provided us the power of His Holy Spirit to enable us to have strong faith that there is no excuse for having doubts. Christian faith is inward, not outward because we are in the spirit and not in the flesh. The kingdom of God is within us, Christ dwells in our hearts which "Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:27) is the burning core (or source) of our Christian faith. Faith is inside us which is Holy Spirit lead only when we submit in obedience.
When the inner person who get into the rut because he/she allowed the flesh to lead to doubts. Flesh produces fear (or unbelief) while Spirit produces faith. Can a Christian show strong faith without being filled with the Holy Spirit?
In short and simple question: Can a Christian show strong faith without being filled by the Holy Spirit?
"The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given to us" (Romans 5:5).
Faith is not the ability to persuade ourselves for something we desire will come to pass if we only wish hard enough. God is who He is as Himself. He does not become what we believe. God is "I AM That I AM" and that only when we know what kind of God He is, we are to adjust our entire being to the concept of Who He really is. Faith is subjective, but it is sound only when it corresponds with objective reality by the knowing God as "I AM that I AM", with the help from the Holy Spirit, we produce strong faith. True faith is not the ability to visualize unseen things to the satisfaction of our imperfect minds, but rather the moral power to trust Christ as Who He is.
Is our faith based on our fleshly efforts on the topic of measure of faith?
Or is our faith based on our spiritual efforts on the topic of measure of the Holy Spirit within us?
How do we apply our faith to the Word of God?
Can we have faith in the Word of God without the Holy Spirit within us?
How are we adding to our faith (2 Peter)?
In Ephesians 5:18 where the present tense of the verb in Greek means: "Keep on being filled with the Spirit". The Holy Spirit dwells in us with all the power and gifts of God, necessary to enable us to walk the noble, spiritual, Son-like life with God. We all have to come to the understanding that while God wants us to be Spirit-filled that God's loving desire that we should reflect His own holiness and goodness that leads to STRONG FAITH.
"My temorary body is decaying at the same time, my inner being is being renewed day by day" (2 Cor 4:16). It is God's will that we submit to the Holy Spirit and keep on filling (Ephesians 5:18). Like an athlete when training, we should always keep drinking water so that we won't be dehydrated and feeling weak. With that thought in mind, we should always keep filling the Holy Spirit so that we are able to act and react any given situations. "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Cor. 12:9).
Is your faith being lead by your flesh's efforts?
Or
Is your faith being lead by your spirit's efforts?
Efforts comes from Holy Spirit through the power of Grace. "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." 2 Corinthians 12:9. When we add to our faith, in 2 Peter 2:5 says "make every effort" which is diligence in God's love. Romans 5:5 "The love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who was given to us." In Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. One of the greatest example is in Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. When God saved us He promised to secure our salvation for eternity, we can trust His promise because He has the power to fulfill it. God exercises His power to accomplish His promises.
