Jim and His Prayer

Men and His Prayer:
Prayer is not popular with men and its hard work for some men. As a believer, I know that prayer is foundational to all we do and stand for and I don't want to admit that this is one of my weaknesses in my relationship with the Lord.  I know and understand what "Prayer" is.  A mature Christian like me understands the attitude of prayer. Humility is putting God first in our prayers while pride is putting God last in our prayers. In Matthew 6:9-13 deals with the first half is focusing on God, His will and plans before coming to our personal petitions. God does not always say yes to every prayer even though we expect Him to do so. We are not to have faith in prayer but rather have faith in God and His character.  God will help us pray as Romans 8:26 say that "The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for". The Holy Spirit will help us know what we pray for.

Jim and His Prayer
Prayer is probably one of my weakest practice in my spiritual life. God is telling me to pray to Him and that He wants me to talk to Him. Why do I not pray? I do not really know but its time that I need to study this further and get my heart equipped to pray. I know my Bible and I knew what God expected from me with that knowledge. I know biblically that I am forgiven by His Grace. Grace means undeserved love and forgiveness that I can go to God and pray that God will be with me, give me internal peace and guide me through my circumstances. I know everyone pray differently so the main thing is our hearts are to be right when we pray. There is "NO" wrong way to pray since prayer is spiritual from the heart. That's between God and the believer who worship. Jeremiah 17:10 "I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve." God never gets into a position where He must answer prayer against His will. And everything that is attributed to faith might with equal truth be attributed to prayer, for faith and true prayer are like two sides of the same coin. (From NPC) Prayer: Intimacy with God. Pray to transfer my will to God's will. Have a personal relationship with God every day, every hour and even every minute when you are not busy doing tasks. I need to work on my prayers and start my prayer by transferring my will to His will. I need to focus on my own true prayer so that I am not making efforts to persuade God to do our will; but rather to make myself submit to the Holy Spirit so that God can guide me according to His will. When I pray, I need to transfer my will to God's will. My personal destiny is depended on my response to the Holy Spirit and God's words.
